
Why DWM?
"The recent economic climate has taught us so much, but above all it has taught us that the larger financial institutions were simply not nimble enough to respond to change in a way that put clients' interests first," says Joe Davis, Founder and Chairman of DWM Advisors, LLC. After twenty-six years of operating his business under the umbrella of large broker dealers, Mr. Davis felt the time had come to change the way in which his company served its clients.
"We have been seeing quite a migration of clients from large broker dealers to the independent advisor platform. In this environment, people want to rest knowing that their advisors are working for them; not for commissions. Becoming independent was the best way for us to show our clients that we have their best interests at heart."
Mr. Davis feels DWM Advisors is poised to meet the growing demand for independent advisors. "Because of technological advancements, we are now able to offer a family office service model to people who may not have been able to receive such an array of services five years ago. Clients need more than just an asset manager. They need a financial quarterback, someone who can also coordinate tax and legal professionals, offer concierge services, and provide solutions for a number of family issues."
Mr. Davis is excited for the future and plans to expand the DWM Advisors concept to other regional markets over the next few years by bringing on qualified financial advisors in North Carolina and Virginia. "People need trusted, honest, competent, and independent consultation now more than ever. At DWM, we are focused on filling that need in the marketplace."
